Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hello again! We got a little surprise this morning, new pictures of Ana. Our DNA was supposed to be taken this week but our lawyer was unable to get in due to a high volume of people ahead of us. He has an appointment on December 26th. This is really the end of the journey as far as Guatemala goes. I think it's been harder waiting for a DNA test than it was waiting in PGN.

All we know is that Ana will be home very soon and we are so grateful. With adoptions in Guatemala things are getting harder and harder for families to get their babies home. I know many friends who had similar time lines to Mark and I, and they are still waiting get out of PGN. So for many of you that ask, "How can you stand it?" or "Why does it take so long?" I really don't know. All I know is that we are blessed and so very lucky to be where we are in this process. God had His plan in Ana being a part of our lives. I believe He has a plan as to when He wants her here with all of us. What a wonderful family and group of friends she has waiting for her!

More Good News...

Mark and I wanted to let you all know that we heard more about Ana's case today. Her birth certificate is in, and they received her passport today. Tomorrow our lawyer will submit all of this to the embassy. From here, they authorize the DNA test and then we are almost home! I will keep you all updated as we get more information. Keep those prayers coming!!!!

The Latest and Last Medical from Guatemala...

Here is Ana on her 7 month doctor visit. Her report states that she weighs 19 pounds, and her height is 66.5 cm. On this particular visit she had her 3rd meningitis shot, so maybe that is why she isn't smiling in any of the photos.....
